Rural areas often face unique challenges in accessing, collecting and utilising data at the right level of granularity. As data-informed policies become increasingly important to enable place-based development, addressing the specific needs of rural areas is crucial. The webinar will highlight the importance of accurate, accessible and granular data in shaping effective policies for rural development across the EU.
This event will bring together insights from a range of actors, ranging from EU-level institutions to local stakeholders, to explore rural data needs. By identifying key gaps and limitations, the event will provide a foundation for informed discussions on how to better support rural data initiatives.
The webinar will also introduce innovative methods to improve rural data collection and analysis, sharing successful approaches to foster knowledge exchange among policymakers, researchers, and local actors. Ultimately, the event aims to contribute to more informed, data-driven rural development policies.
