The Spanish Living Lab, coordinated by the University of Vigo, held its reflective workshop in Ribadavia (Ourense) on June 17th. The meeting gathered core members of the Living Lab (LL), including individuals and entities with expertise in three key areas: aging and demographic challenge, forest fires and e-government tools (e -health).
Participants included researchers from the University of Vigo, representatives of local and regional public administrations, territorial agents, associations and social innovation companies in rural areas. They analysed the LL action plan, discussed its current status, and outlined short and medium-term objectives within the GRANULAR project.
Additionally, the workshop featured the presentation of preliminary research results by the University of Vigo. These results include data on home telecare services in rural municipalities and the initial interviews with centenarians in the province of Ourense. Participants evaluated these findings alongside other unexplored data sources and collaborated on refining the concept of “Rural proofing” to find the best equivalent expressions in Spanish and Galician that reflect this mechanism from a rural perspective.
