The Replication Lab, run by PREPARE, is situated in the north of Moldova, at the border with Romania and close to the largest Moldavian lake. Community efforts focus on the development of nature-based tourism (in particular valorisation of the lake) and community services. The area currently lacks basic infrastructure, including waste management, and lacks tourism infrastructure (hotels, restaurants) adapted to the very high domestic tourism demand during the high season (popular destination).
